Maybe now that an hour block is no longer devoted to crying in front of chalk boards, Fox News can do a better job distorting reporting the news.
End Of An Era of the Day: After much prognostication on the part of the media, the Glenn Beck-backed website The Blaze is officially confirming reports that the Fox News persona will be “transitioning off” his daily show to focus on developing and producing “a variety of television projects for air on the Fox News Channel as well as content for other platforms including Fox News’ digital properties.”
“Glenn Beck is a powerful communicator, a creative entrepreneur and a true success by anybody’s standards,” said Fox News CEO Roger Ailes in a prepared statement. “I look forward to continuing to work with him.”
Despite the release’s insistence that Beck’s show is “consistently the third highest rated program on cable news,” Business Insider reported in January that Glenn Beck has seen a significant slide in ratings, losing 1.8 million viewers — 39% of its total audience — since last year.
